Hello everyone! Long time no post. The second week of classes are coming to an end and the campus is back into the full swing of things…minus the scooters in our parking lot. Their parking was moved.
We’ve had a busy summer between C.A.R.E. Camp, Horizons, and the Fall Continuing Education brochure. I’m excited for our line up this semester. From Comics and Collectables Appraisal to Pinterest Parties to the delicious Cupcake Project, we have a full schedule planned. You can stay up to date by following us on Facebook, Twitter, or by signing up for our newsletter. Each semester catalog is collaboration between us, members of the Southeast family, and the community. If you have any ideas for classes or know of any talented folks in the community, hit us up.
Speaking of communities, I discovered this amazing thing called Open IDEO. IDEO is a design company that solves problems. Open IDEO is where YOU get to tackle some of the world’s biggest problems. It’s collaboration between every member who takes part in the challenge. As the challenge moves forward and ideas become more refined, the sponsor of the challenge picks their favorites. Members vote on the final concepts and winning ideas are chosen. But, that is just the beginning. The challenge then reaches the realization stage where the sponsor implements it. This stage is ongoing and members can come back to get news on how their contributions have helped the world. Nifty, right? It is free to join and people off all backgrounds are needed to create well-rounded ideas.
Well, that’s all for today. If you have any questions, comment below.
