It’s that time of year again. The time when almost every day is beautiful and being inside all day is almost painful. The time when you wake up every morning to a brand new scene of freshly bloomed trees and flowers. It’s also that time when everyone starts looking for ways to break their cabin fever. I for one have been wearing out the LaCroix trail a couple times a week on my old ten speed bike and mowing more often than I really should.
Our office has been dealing with cabin fever a different way. We have been working hard to plan out all of our Summer programming which includes CARE Camp, our Missouri Foundation for Health program, and the ever popular Horizons Summer Youth Enrichment Camps. Horizons are week-long, half-day camps that are all about kids ages 5-14. If you are looking for things for your kiddos to do this summer, check out the Horizons camps on our website and be sure to register ASAP because they fill up quick. Registration opens Monday, April 1, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. If you’ve never heard of Horizons you’re truly missing out and should watch this video:
For those of you looking for fun things to do for yourself, check out all of the fun and excited classes on ourContinuing Education website. What better way to enjoy Spring than to learn how to capture it in an artistic photo in The Art of Digital Photography. If photography isn’t your thing, how about learn the wine making process with Bob Eachus of Thousand Oaks Winery in their Vine to Vino class or how to roast your own coffee in his Introduction to Coffee Roasting workshop.
We have so many fun things to do this Spring I can’t even tell you about it all. Just head over to our website www.semo.edu/continuinged to see them all and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and become a fan on Facebook.
